Final Exam Responses

            This whole first semester of college was a very different experience for me. I had never been away from home for a long period of time and I didn’t know how I was going to feel about. I had to have an open mind and being willing to change. Also, I had to try and find myself and the person I want to be. That is a hard thing to do, but this college and community make it so easy. Everyone is so welcoming and is always willing to help if you ever need anything. That is one of the best things about this college, it makes you feel at home. There is nothing to be afraid of you should enjoy the college experience when you can because it is the best time of your life.

            When I enrolled at this school I was told I had to take a class called college writing. I hated that idea because I knew how to write essays and papers. I didn’t think it would help me with my writing more, but I was wrong. Taking this class has helped me realize there is a lot of concepts and ideas to my writing that still need work. The class has allowed me to fix some of those problems and helped me to become a better writer. I hope that will continue into the next semester because becoming a better writer can only help me later in life when I’m trying to compete for a job.

            Challenges they might face are feeling alone or feeling uninvolved. That can big fixed very easily at Springfield College. There is so much to do here and so many clubs to join, that you want feel alone or uninvolved anymore. You just need to get out and meet new people and you will have the best experience of your life. It is also okay to call your family if you miss them. No one will judge you for doing anything like that. The college is just a great understanding and open community.

            It makes sense for me to address them in a reassuring and loving manner. This is because it is a new experience for them and they might be scared. Doing it in a context like this will help them feel wanted and want to stay. That is what my NSO leaders did and that was the best thing that happened to me. It made me feel wanted and now I love this college and never want to leave.           This whole experience with the first semester has been the best experience of my life and I can’t wait for the next semester to start.
